FURIOUS Cougar coach, Gary Moorby apologised to fans who travelled to Swinton - and saw their team crushed 46-0.

"Our performance was embarrassing and totally unaccep;table. We owe an aplology to the people who travelled to Swinton to support us.

"After our efforts at Dewsbury the previous week we genuinely believed we were capable of winning.

"Watching the game live was a nightmare, watching it again on video on Monday evening was a nightmare. Errors, penalties and forward passes were happening all the time, it was a recipe for total disaster.

"As head coach I have to accept that I have to shoulder ultimate responsibility for the way we play and my position is obviously on the line every time we play.

"What I cannot and will not accept is anything less han 100 per cent effort from everyone in the side, people who are not prepared to follow instructions or people who won't get stuck in when the going gets tough.

"We have two games left, they are both at home - and there will be changes!"

There is no game this weekend because of the Challenge Cup, and they are at home to Hunslet on Sunday, September 4.
