Farsley kick off their pre-season warm-up fixtures with a visit from a Leeds United XI tomorrow and could have as many as four new signings on show.

With Celtic manager Lee Sinnott away on holiday, assistant John Deacey will be the main man in the Throstle Nest dugout.

And former Bradford City skipper Lee Duxbury will be getting his first taste of the angst and frustration of management as No 2 for

the day.

Celts chairman Andy Fir-bank said: "John will be ably assisted by Dux and that will be an interesting exercise. It won't do him any harm to see it from that perspective."

The main Leeds squad are in Norway for a brief pre-season tour but the Celts' near neighbours have promised to send a squad strong enough to give Farsley a good work-out.

"We know that some of the first-team players have stayed behind, Steve Stone and Neil Sullivan to name just two, but we don't know if they will be sent along tomorrow in any capacity," said Firbank.

"One thing we do know is that Eddie Gray's son will be making an appearance for Leeds and we will see which other players turn up on the day.

"It will be a nice game to start us off and we expect a good crowd because people have shown an interest. There is no substitute for football.

"The important thing from our point of view is that we give our new signings and the rest of the players some time on the pitch.

"Andy Watson has come back from Chester City and he will be making his

second debut, while Scott Jackson, Simeon Bambrook and Andy Dugdale could also be involved."

Centre back Dugdale was captain of Maidstone in

the Conference South last season but decided on a move north.

Celtic have also made a bid for Park Avenue's transfer-listed central defender Ryan Crossley, but the deal has stalled because of a difference in valuation between the two UniBond Premier Division rivals.
