THE league is investigating the behaviour of spectators during the match between Riddlesden and Gargrave at Riddlesden.

Gargrave's secretary, Ray Jones, who is also their first team captain, but was scoring due to an injury, told Monday's league meeting: "Two car loads of people turned up after the tea interval and their behaviour was disgraceful. They exposed themselves several times and on one occasion it happened in front of one of our players wives and child, they were upset by the behaviour and left the ground.

One of these guys was standing by the sight-screen with his trousers down using his mobile phone, and another did the same at the other end of the ground.

"If this had happened in the street they would have been arrested and put on a serious charge, it was absolutely disgraceful."

He added that one of those involved took out drinks at the mid-innings interval and abused Gargrave's umpire.

Mr Jones added: "I have been involved with this league for 49 years and I have never seen anything like this before - it was absolutely disgusting.

The incident will go before the disciplinary meeting.
