Colin Todd is anticipating an exciting season from Bobby Petta.

The flying Dutchman has already made his mark in City's opening two friendlies - and scored the first goal in last night's 4-3 win at North Ferriby.

Todd has also been impressed with Petta's attitude on the training ground and is rubbing his hands at the thought of letting the left winger loose at League One defences.

"Bobby can be a revelation for us," said the City boss.

"I think you'll find teams will double up or even put three people around him because he's got that talent.

"He's always going to be a threat and the good thing is that he will get better with his fitness levels and with the understanding of how we play."

Todd was happy with the bulk of the display at Church Road as City eased into a three-goal lead.

The non-Leaguers hit right back after most of the senior players had been subbed before Danny Cadamarteri nicked a last-minute winner.

Todd said: "I saw what I had to see in the first 70 minutes and that was good.

"It's disappointing that you lose a 3-0 lead but I try to be fair to the younger players. I give them opportunities and they can't turn round now and say they haven't been given that chance, but I know it's not easy.

"But in the first half and periods in the second half when I had the stronger players out there, you could see how powerful we can be.

"I know what I'm going to get from those players and they are all

fighting for places. They know the starting line-up hasn't been decided.

"And if I can get another two in, which I'm hoping, then we'll be even stronger."
