Medical staff at a Romanian cottage hospital are to be kitted out with new uniforms - thanks to Skipton Building Society.
More than 1,000 of their cast-off uniforms - a new design was brought in this year - are being packaged and taken to the village of Obirsia Closani, which has been adopted by the Grassington-based charity Medical Educational Social Help (MESH).
Seventy-four of the building society's branches nationwide are sending over 1,000 sets of skirts, shirts and jackets to the cottage hospital and dental surgery at Obirsia Closani.
Keighley area manager Julie Olinic - whose staff are sending around 60 items - says: "We are delighted to be able to help such a worthy cause.
The MESH volunteers are providing valuable medical help to those most in need, and our uniforms will help keep costs down."
