Inspirational defender Eddie Youds returns to the Bradford City squad tonight at Wolves with a glowing reference from manager Paul Jewell.

The 27-year-old missed his first game of the season in Saturday's 1-0 defeat at Middlesbrough after serving a one-game ban, following his dismissal at Ipswich a fortnight earlier.

Youds has been one of City's most consistent players this season after fighting back from a career-threatening knee injury which kept him out of the side for 14 months.

Jewell will not name his starting line-up until an hour before kick-off, but added: "Eddie is an inspiration to everyone around the club and everyone has been delighted with his form this season. He wants to win so badly, and that spreads to the other players.

"With John McGinlay also back in the squad, it is a real boost to have two senior players back in contention.

"Wolves will be tough but if we show the same attitude and determination as we did at Middlesbrough, then I think we will do all right."

Wolves will be looking to bounce back from two successive defeats at Molineux which has seen them slip out of the play-off positions, although they did earn a creditable 1-1 draw in the fifth round of the FA Cup at Premiership side Wimbledon.

Dennis Sepp played in the reserves' 5-2 defeat last night against Barnsley, despite his accidental collision with Craig Midgley, and Jewell is hoping to include him in tonight's squad. Midgley, however, has been ruled out with a broken nose.

Youds' return to the squad leaves Jewell with a selection poser as on-loan Andy Melville and Andy O'Brien combined well in defence on Saturday.

City will be without midfield pair Nigel Pepper and Craig Ramage, who will complete their two-game bans, and teenager Paul Bolland is hoping to celebrate being awarded a full-time contract by staying in the side.

Jewell was pleased with the youngster's performance at Middlesbrough when he showed few signs of nerves.

Bradford City are to experiment with Sunday football by moving their First Division home game with Queens Park Rangers back 24 hours.

The switch, agreed by both clubs, means the game will now take place at Valley Parade on Sunday April 19, kick-off 3pm.

The change gives the City board the chance to assess the popularity of playing on Sundays.
