A revolutionary presentation package devised by a company from Bradford's 'Silicon Valley' is set to put the city's computer skills on the world map.

Advance Multi-media's PresentationPro software system has been picked by electronics giant Panasonic to be issued as standard with its new CF63 notebook PC to be launched in May.

The Cleckheaton based company developed the system, which can be used in conjunction with PCs or electronic overhead projectors, for presentations and lectures.

According to group managing director Mike Smith, the package will offer an unrivalled array of presentation media, from on-screen TV quality video pictures to slides animation.

It can also play live pictures and link up with the Internet, which, says Mr Smith, can all be opened up seamlessly within the presentation.

Mr Smith, 48, added: "Obviously the opportunities that this will create internationally will be massive.

"For the area, and this is without going over the top, it could be absolutely huge in terms of employment and it has all come from the 'Silicon Valley' of Bradford. We are all very proud of it."

The CF63 notebook PC will be launched at the beginning of May with a PresentationPro package issued as standard for each unit.

Panasonic believe PresentationPro puts them at the cutting edge in an increasingly competitive field.

Its marketing manager Richard Walters said: "Presentations, whether part of a training seminar, a board meeting or a simple one-to-one sales discussion, are a critical part of the way everyone does business these days and we see a very powerful combination in our CF63 and PresentationPro."
