Bradford Bulls ace Robbie Paul, pictured above, helped New Zealand pull off a shock 22-16 Test win over world champions Australia in Auckland today.

Former Wigan and Leeds centre Kevin Iro scored two tries as the Aussies were sent reeling.

Australia, fielding a full-strength team for the first time for four years following the ending of the Super League dispute, led 12-6 at half-time after Manly's Terry Hill scored a brace of tries.

But the veteran Iro pulled a try back in the 33rd minute and grabbed a second in the second half.

Hill scored in the 17th minute after Manly team-mates Geoff Toovey, Steve Menzies and Nik Kosef combined to create space out wide and crossed again six minutes later off a Laurie Daley kick.

Other try scorers for New Zealand were Sean Hoppe and Terry Hermansson, with Matthew Ridge kicking three goals.

Steve Renouf was Australia's other try scorer, with Matt Rogers landing two goals.
