Gutsy father-of-three Ron Tinsley has hit on a novel way to thank medics for treating his wife after a heart attack.

He was so grateful for the treatment which his 34-year-old wife received at the Bradford Royal Infirmary that he has formed his own Full Monty-style troupe.

They're called the Allerton Bad Boys - and they've already sold 400 tickets for the event at the Lilycroft Working Men's Club in Bradford on Thursday, May 21.

Ron, a warehouse manager, said: "It really is unbelievable how it has taken off. We printed 320 tickets and they have sold out within weeks and we're all being sponsored.

"We're a bit nervous about hundreds of screaming women but we're looking forward to it.

"We've had three or four dress rehearsals in front of Angela when we took everything off and it went OK - she seemed to enjoy it.

"The event should raise thousands of pounds and hopefully we'll have a few spare tickets available on the door on the night."

Ron decided to organise the event with four pals after Angela spent four days in the intensive care unit.

The Allerton Bad Boys hope to raise thousands of pounds for the Intensive Care Unit at Bradford Royal Infirmary.

The show in May will feature the lads in silver and gold G-strings and hard hats as part of their routine.

"Ron was really traumatised by seeing me in Intensive Care attached to all the tubes but the staff were great," said Angela, who is recovering at their home in Rudding Avenue in Allerton.

"It was touch and go for a while and my heart stopped for about seven minutes on the way to hospital. They still don't know how it happened at such a young age."
