Yeadon batsman Neil Elvidge continued his good form with a magnificent knock at Keighley which set his side up for a 188 runs win.

Elvidge came in to open the Yeadon innings with Jon Carey and after they had produced a solid start with Carey making 21.

Elvidge went on to ammass a personal score of 147 as Yeadon made the Keighley bowlers toil. They totalled 267-3 declaring after 48 overs.

Following Carey's dismissal Elvidge gained good support from Andrew Pickering who made a fine 52 before being caught by Steve Mitchell off spinner David Batty.

Batty was his side's only successful bowler taking the only three wickets to fall.

Keighley were then shot out for a mere 79 with Elvidge's team mate from the Scarborough area Gary Hodgson producing his best form since joining the club at the start of the season.

He took 6-28 off 16 overs to shatter Keighley.

Support came from skipper Damon Gormley - another from the Scarborough area - who claimed 3-18 off ten economical overs.

The other wicket fell to Craig Thornton at a cost of 11 runs.

Second team skipper Les Wood was again amongst the runs as his side held on for a draw with Keighley who had made 209.

As Yeadon replied with 145-9 opener Wood made 69.

Bradford and Bingley mauled Pudsey St Lawrence winning by a nine wicket margin after restricting their opponents to 151-7. Yeadon's David Pennett bowled superbly taking 4-32.

For Farsley their hero was Horsforth-based Matthew Doidge who made an unbeaten 69 in the win over leaders Baildon.

Former Yeadon wicketkeeper Alastair Long made 32 for his new club Cleckheaton.
