Aire-Wharfe League: Rawdon drew level on points with Adel at the top of the Division A but remain in second place because they have won one fewer game.

Knaresborough clung on for a draw to restrict Adel to five points, allowing Rawdon to close the gap by beating Steeton in a hard-fought battle.

With Bruce Percy dismissed for 19, still 121 away from 1,000 for the season, it fell to Robert Atkinson (56) to rescue the Rawdon innings which had slumped to 90-5 under the accurate attack of Chris Taylor.

Taylor finished with 8-57 as Rawdon were dismissed for 162 but the Rawdon attack of Martin Hings (4-28) and Darren Murray (2-63) soon had Steeton on the back foot.

Despite a late rally by late order batsman Andrew Smith, who managed 46, the visitors were bowled out 40 runs short of their target.

Skipton took five points from their draw against Horsforth lifting them to within two points of third from bottom Steeton while ensuring Horsforth are relegated.

Steve Young (88) and Mark Whittaker (118 not out) put on a 166-run stand as Skipton raced to a season-best total of 270-2.

But once again they were unable to bowl out the opposition and Horsforth still had four wickets in hand at the close although still more than 100 runs behind.

Guiseley notched their fourth win of the season when they beat Calverley by two-wickets with just one ball to spare.

Nayim Ashraf (39) was the pick of the Calverley batsman as they were restricted to 139-8. Brian Wilson (4-37) then kept chipping away at the Guiseley wickets but a battling 35 from David Brady put them in a position to score the five they needed off the final scheduled over.

Burley and Silsden kept hold of the promotion spots in Division B but Collingham continue to threaten after their nine-wicket win over Menston.

An 11-over spell of 6-47 by Mike Bore saw Menston dismissed for 145 with David Lester top scoring on 38.

Ben Driver (50no), David Holmes (45) and Mark Woodward (44no) guided Collingham to a victory that keeps them only three points behind second placed Silsden.

John Roberts' 20.5 overs of 7-54 was the key to Silsden's nine-run win at Tong Park who put up a gallant chase to reach the visitors' 179-8 which included 40 from Andy Knowles.

The return of Duncan Hurd this season has been a big boost to Burley and the Aussie was again the match-winner as they overcame Addingham by four wickets.

Stephen May cracked 14 fours in a splendid 96 to help Addingham to 161-6 with Hurd taking 3-56. He then hit his 5th half century of the season to clinch the win.

The bottom two clubs fought out a high-scoring match with Green Lane getting their first win of the season at Otley, to close the gap to two points.

Otley raced to 233-5, their best score of the season by far but their bowlers had no answer to the aggressive batting of Chris Cay who hit a match-winning 129.

Ilkley were dismissed by Illingworth for 158, eight runs short of their target.
