NAT West Bank came to the aid of Yeadon Cricket Club when they needed £500 to apply for a grant for an all weather wicket to improve the facilities at their Dam Lane ground.

The Bradford League club, which runs three junior teams as well as two senior teams, received backing from their local branch of Nat West and Horsforth branch manageress Julie Agar turned up to bowl to Club Chairman David Wild when the wicket was officially opened.

They are pictured right with Yeadon junior player James Todd.

The remainder of the funds for the synthetic turf wicket came from the National Cricket Association.

The wicket was installed by Verde Sports Ltd and is available for use by schools and groups throughout the district. - by arrangement with the club.
