Keighley Business Forum is leading another mission to the United States next month.

Now the Forum and Bronte Country Tourism is offering to represent firms throughout the region who may not be able to send representatives.

It is hoped that several major contracts may be won for companies in the region through the targeted visits to New Jersey and Myrtle Beach, South Carolina.

The centrepiece of the representation will be in Newark, New Jersey, where the KBF will have a trade stand at World Expo Matchmaker 98 - one of the largest fairs in the USA.

KBF director Iain Copping says: "This trade fair boasts a wealth of buyers looking for suppliers in areas from agricultural equipment and electronics to paper and pharmaceutical products.

"It boasts sponsors such as Arthur Anderson and Continental Airlines."

Any companies wishing to join the mission should contact the KBF by September 14, through contacting Lesley Ord

The cost of representation is £150 plus VAT for non KBF members and £100 plus VAT for members.

The KBF representation includes initial market research; identification of potential joint venture technology transfer opportunities; identification of potential new products for UK companies to market in Europe, and obtaining export leads for UK companies.

Added Mr Copping: "This will all be done through presence at Expo, presentations, specific meetings with interested parties and hard copy profiles. We can also take literature to display on the stand - but this is subject to freight charges.

"Through our website linkages we will be able to offer your potential customers/contacts a direct line to your business on the spot."

The Forum has built up many links in the USA over recent years, leading a number of missions. Many businesses have benefited.

Representatives from New Jersey, New York, Myrtle Beach and Arkansas have made return visits to Keighley.
