The former City of Leeds swimmer Andrew Clayton of Rawdon picked up a silver medal in a thrilling men's 4 x 200 metres freestyle relay final in the Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur.
It was in this relay that the winning Australian team smashed the world record.
Horsforth swimmer Linda Hindmarsh finished sixth in the women's 200 metres breaststroke finals .
