Well, it was good to get back to winning ways on Sunday after the defeat in London.

We did some soul searching last week and really got to grips with what was required.

I thought that we played with a much better structure and controlled things very well. Harvey Howard had an absolute stormer.

He really does make a big difference to the side.

He takes us forward and that gives the half backs more room to work in.

It was like old times having Harvey and Neil on either side and I thought the pack did the business on the day.

It was nice to get two tries myself. We have a little competition going to see who will finish top try scorer and at the moment Tevita is winning with 13.

It is not looking good for him to add to his tally and Penguin is next with ten and Robbie and myself are on nine.

Paul Medley is stuck on 98 tries for his Bulls career and when he managed to get on against the Wolves he was shouting at everyone who made a break. Tough Medders!

The fans were marvellous and really got behing us.

That is the sort of support that could get us a long way in the play offs.

We are still there in fifth place and if we win one of our remaining games then we will make five.

I still feel that we can make an impression in the play offs but we will have to do it the hard way by playing all our games away from home.

Having said that I don't think any clubs will fancy playing us in a sudden death game.

That is why it is important that our supporters get behind us.

They are worth a couple of tries to us and at somewhere like St Helens they could make all the difference.

There has been a lot of speculation regarding the possible make up of the Great Britain squad for the forthcoming Kiwi Tests.

One paper published a list of players that included no one from the Bulls.

If that were the case then, my own place apart, I would be amazed if Andy Goodway could think of going into the series without Stuart Spruce or Harvey Howard. Sprogger has played well all season and Harvey has proved what a much better player he is from his stint down under.

As for the hooking role, I will just have to keep playing well and force the hand of the selectors.

The first Academy Player of the Month award sponsored by Northside Trucks was won by Leon Pryce and how well he has deserved it with some superb performances of late.

He trains with the first team squad and he has already impressed everyone with his skill.

I have no doubt that he will pretty soon be knocking on the door for a first team spot.

This week we travel to Wigan for the Sunday night TV game. I can assure you that we will be well fired up for this one and we plan to make sure of our play off spot with a victory at Central Park.

My old club Leeds showed everyone that Wigan can be beaten and we came very close to victory earlier in the season.

We owe them one and we will be looking to get points on Sunday.

The soccer season is well and truly upon us now and it was good to see my team Leeds at the top of the table.

I just hope that they can keep hold of George Graham. He is a really good manager and I can see why Penguin's team, Spurs, are after him.

I think the Leeds directors will have to make some money available for him if they are to persuade him that his future is at Elland Road.
