Babysitting, line dancing, aromatherapy and cooking are among activities planned at Bracken Bank's newest community centre. The Sue Belcher Centre will hold an open day on Saturday, September 26, to let residents know what is on offer and put their own ideas.

The centre, on Bracken Bank Avenue, is teaming up with Keighley College to run a series of courses for people of all ages.

A short babysitting course starting next month will be aimed at youngsters aged 13 and over. And resident Becky Gunning is attending line dancing lessons at the college so she can start a class at the centre.

The centre also plans a series of one-day courses on whatever subjects residents are interested in, such as aromatherapy and cookery. The autumn programme has been unveiled by Alison Robinson, the centre's recently-appointed development worker.

Alison urges anyone with an idea for a course to phone her on 0402 491030 or attend the 1-4pm open day. She wants people to see how the centre, named in honour of former Keighley area co-ordinator Sue Belcher, has changed in recent months.

The event will be attended by the college as well as the new Ingrow vicar and staff from Keighley Information Centre and the Area Panel.
