Two men have gone on trial accused of raping a Bradford prostitute after they picked her up in the city's red light district.

The 30-year-old woman said she agreed to have sex with Mark Dore for £15.

But after being driven to his antiques shop in South Street, Keighley, both men raped her and forced her to perform oral sex on them.

A jury at Bradford Crown Court heard this week that the woman, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was then supposed to be driven back to Bradford by Christopher Pedley. But during a four-hour ordeal he allegedly stopped her getting out of the car, threatened her with a dagger and punched her in the face.

Dore, 30, of Westlea Avenue, Riddlesden, has denied allegations of rape and indecent assault.

Pedley, 31, of Greyfriars Walk, Great Horton, Bradford, has pleaded not guilty to two charges of rape, one of indecent assault, one of false imprisonment and one of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

The woman told the jury how she had gone to the Thornton Road area of Bradford last March in order to earn some money for drugs.

She said the two men, who were in a red Lada, said they would only be going five minutes down the road, but she started to feel unsafe when the car began travelling towards Bingley.

After being taken to the shop, the woman said she decided to get it over with so she could get back home and had consensual sex with Dore on a mattress.

She said: "As I started putting my clothes back on he said 'there's no point doing that - it's his turn next'."

Despite her pleas to go home the woman said the two men started talking about oral sex. She alleged that while she was forced to perform oral sex on one man the other raped her, and then the two men changed places.

The woman said she was not paid the agreed £15 for sexual intercourse with Dore and she did not consent to any of the other sexual acts that took place in the shop.

She alleged that Pedley pulled out a dagger after he stopped his car near her home in Bradford and she shouted to her boyfriend who was nearby.

The car was driven off, but after Pedley stopped again to use a phone box the woman managed to get out and run to a nearby road where she was picked up by a passing motorist.

The trial continues.
