Non-League Soccer: Bradford Park Avenue will parade two new signings for their trip to Droylsden for a Unifilla Division One Cup quarter-final tonight.

Avenue will have keeper Richard Atkinson and Jonathon Jones, both recent captures from Glasshoughton Welfare, in line for debuts and have recalled Joe Richardson and Andy Lamb.

Manager Trevor Storton said: "Richard is an excellent keeper and is available for next week's FA Umbro Trophy tie at Colwyn Bay. With the amount of games we have had lately because of cup runs we may decide to rest one or two regulars tonight."

Storton was annoyed that tonight's game was forced on the club late and feels it may disturb his preparations for Saturday which is Avenue's biggest game of the season. It will, however, act as another game off forward Chris Brandon's suspension which could make him available for the Colwyn Bay visit.

Thackley manager Brendan Hudson yesterday confirmed that his new assistant will be Brett Farriday who he has coaxed into joining him at Dennyfield.

The pair worked together at Guiseley where they were in charge of the second team and youth development. Another two youngsters from Nethermoor, Richard Machell and Matt Daly, have also opted to join Thackley.

Craig Bower, Paul Ryan, Neil Holmes and Michael Jordan had already trodden the path. They are all in tonight's squad to face Eccleshill United in a Northern Counties East League Premier Division derby and Richard Cornwall is again preferred to regular keeper Garry Cox.

United will be without captain Andy Wilkinson. Ex-Thackley defender Andy Taylor returns from injury to cover for the skipper and Andy Sutcliffe and Dave Elvidge, also ex-Dennyfield men, are likely to face their old club after making their United debuts in Saturday's win over Buxton.

Guiseley will be unchanged after their weekend home league win over Gateshead, one of their UniBond League Premier Division title rivals, for the Yorkshire derby with Frickley Athletic at Nethermoor in a Challenge Cup third round tie.

Liversedge travel to Selby Town in the Northern Counties East Premier Division. Defender Chris Birkenshaw returns to the squad after suspension.
