Golf: The Bradford Open and amateur matchplay competitions this year will have a new trophy on offer.

The Jim Wade Trophy, donated by Bradford Union team captain Tim Wade, will go to the player scoring the lowest total aggregate score for the four rounds of the two competitions.

It is in memory of his father, Jim Wade, the popular local golfer who died last year.

Hollins Hall have had their application to join the Bradford Union accepted, providing they meet all the necessary criteria needed to join the Yorkshire Union.

However they will not be taking part in any league competitions this season.
