SILSDEN Under-16's fought all the way before going down 1-0 to Beeston in the quarter-final of the West Riding Under-16 County Cup.
It was the team's first defeat since October 1996, and incredible record in junior football.
Adam Whiteoak, Chris Simpson and Gott went close, but were denied the vital goal by a stubborn defence. Liam Holdsworth was man of the match.
This Sunday they play Salts in the Craven Cup, ko 2pm.
