Keighley-based Link Telecom has invested £25,000 in a refurbishment of its North Street shop.

The new-look premises include an improved showroom for general customers and a private area for business customers to discuss their needs confidentially.

Director Mike Bower says: "The refurbishment keeps us ahead of the market and gears us towards the business-to-business customers who want to actually come in to see us. And it helps us display our products in a better way.

"After more than ten years we were ready for a change. It is a reflection of our level of confidence in the town and our customers. We want to provide them with all the facilities they might need in the future."

Link Telecom now has its own repair centre in Keighley, where repairs can be carried out to most makes of telephone under the manufacturer's warranty - the only such centre between Leeds and Blackburn.

The Keighley refurbishment follows on from recent investment of £160,000 to open new shops in Huddersfield, Leeds and Wakefield, joining the existing branches at Halifax and Bradford.

Keighley Business Forum director Iain Copping, who officially re-opened the refurbished shop this week, says: "It's very good to see a Keighley company expanding and doing well in a growth industry. "It's nice to see Keighley getting a slice of that action."
