A man in blue stole a purse from an 80-year-old Keighley woman while chatting to her outside the town's Morrisons store.
He approached the woman and asked for directions to a chemist, but after he hurried off she discovered her purse containing £10 had gone.
The man, who struck at 10.15am last Thursday, is described as white, slim and 5ft 10in tall, about 30, with brown hair and wearing a blue shirt, blue jacket and jeans. He had a distinctive scar just over two inches long on his left cheek.
Witnesses or anyone who can identify the man should phone Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
