"It is a big feather in the cap of local cricket to get a fixture like this, and we hope their will be a big crowd to watch the stars of the future in action," said KCA spokesman Sarwar Kamal.

The match will also be a good test of the Yorkshire Under-19's before they head off on a tour of India.

The game is also being held to raise money for Airedale Hospital charities.

n The Cricket Academy is also launching its umpires and cricket scorers courses on the first Monday in October.

"All clubs should try to get at lease one representative on each course, and the umpiring course is also very useful for people who are still playing the game -- it keeps them up with all the latest rule changes," Kamal said.

Courses will be free with a small charge made for certificates.

A course for cricket coaches is to be held in January.

Full details of the courses are available from Sarwar Kamal on 01535-669660.
