A man who translated Jane Eyre into Chinese has seen at first hand the place where Charlotte Bront wrote the famous novel. Prof Chen Wenbo and his wife and daughter were given a VIP tour of the Bront Parsonage Museum last Thursday. They presented the Haworth museum with a copy of the book and attended a short historical talk by the Bront Society.

The Parsonage had been approached by Mr Wenbo's son-in-law Tony Cranston, of Durham, to say the translator was visiting England and wanted to donate the book.
