Firms are being offered a chance to save on their water bills thanks to an award-winning environmental scheme.

The Waste Minimisation Programme, which is part of Keighley Business Forum, has taken on Mick Whitaker of specialist water management firm Environmentally Friendly.

He has been employed to provide firms in the area with free water audits and water-saving advice along with water-saving devices.

The KBF Waste Minimisation scheme has been operating for three years and has helped many firms in the district on how to reduce waste and be more environmentally-friendly.

Tony Bucci, the Waste Minimisation Programme manager, said: "Over the years we have promoted good waste minimisation practices in solid waste management, packaging use and energy management.

"Now the focus is on water conservation and management, installing simple devices like flush controllers which can save pounds on your water bills," he added.
