A motorcyclist was killed yesterday after his bike was involved in a collision with a car.
The accident, which involved a red Ford Fiesta and green Kawasaki 1100cc motorbike - both travelling towards Otley - happened on the B6161 at Briscoe Rig at 12.10pm.
The motorcyclist, whose name has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The car driver suffered head and internal injuries and was taken to hospital in Harrogate but released after treatment.
Anyone who witnessed the accident or saw either vehicle before the crash is asked to call PC Rob Roberts on 01423 505541.
