Bradford City's home clash with Leeds United has sold out - even though the big West Yorkshire derby is still five months away.

The Bantams have around 1,200 tickets on sale for every home game in the Premiership and announced last month that all the tickets for Manchester United's visit had been snapped up.

However, chairman Geoffrey Richmond said today that there were now no tickets left for the March 11 meeting with Leeds either and that all other games were selling well.

The City chief said: "The tickets have been selling very well for all matches including the games with Watford, Southampton and Coventry.

"Our last match of the season against Liverpool on May 14 is also going very well and that will definitely be the next game to sell out."

Richmond also says that the club are forging ahead with their plans to extend their ground capacity to 24,000 with the addition of an extra tier on the Sunwin Stand.

The new building will be the same height as the newly built Carlsberg Stand.

City have had meetings with the club architects and the chairman said: "We will be ready to submit a planning application in the next four to six weeks."

City expect defender Andy Myers to be suspended for one game after his dismissal at Derby County last weekend.

That means Myers will have to sit out the Worthington Cup clash with Barnsley at Valley Parade..

Richmond is hoping for a good response to the return of the club's very successful 'Kid for a Quid' scheme for the cup tie on Tuesday, October 12.

City have set ticket prices at £13 adults, £7 (senior citizens) and £1 (juniors) in the hope of attracting a big gate.

Meanwhile, Lee Todd has returned to the club for treatment after picking up an injury while playing on loan for Walsall.
