A firm of accountants has moved a key department from London to West Yorkshire because of the level of expertise in the area.
Horwath Clark Whitehill, will be using tax experts from its Bradford, Keighley and Leeds office to service the firm's Tax Technical Queries Service which will be based in Leeds.
The office was previously run from the firm's national headquarters in New Street Square off Chancery Lane in London but is being transferred to the North Lane House offices in Headingley.
It will be headed by John Glossop, 41, tax partner at Leeds since 1991. The in-house service is on call to advise or give a second opinion on especially difficult, unusual or complex taxation issues.
Mr Glossop, pictured above, said: "Traditionally London is seen as the centre of excellence for many of the national professional practices. This new role reflects the firm's recognition of the technical expertise we have here within our Yorkshire offices."
