A Manorlands drop-in centre in Keighley reopens next month.

The service has been closed since August due to refurbishment at the Salvation Army citadel in Oakworth Road.

The weekly drop-in will be relaunched on January 11 from 10am to noon, and will be held every Tuesday morning.

It is run jointly by district nurses, staff from the Oxenhope Sue Ryder hospice and experienced volunteers.

Catherine Lavery, a social worker dealing with bereavement support at Manorlands, said: "We aim to provide a friendly and understanding atmosphere for anyone facing worries or loss associated with serious illness and bereavement.

"We look forward to welcoming back all those who have valued this facility over the years and we will sincerely welcome newcomers."

The January 18 session will include a reopening celebration, with harpist Katie Roberts. There will also be a bring and buy stall.
