Keighley Cougars go into Sunday's home game against York buoyed by the fine victory at Hunslet on Monday, and have few injury worries.

The biggest worry is impressive new second rower Ian Hughes. He picked up a hamstring strain in the first half at Hunslet and his chances are described as 50-50.

Kris Kirk is the only other doubt with a calf strain, but coach Karl Harrison is worried that illness could weaken his squad.

"A few of the lads were hit by sickness over Christmas," he said. "With hindsight, Matt Foster shouldn't have played, Paul Harrison and Matt Walker were also suffering and I'll have to assess the situation at training tonight.

"The York game is massive for us - there's no point in beating the champions on their ground then conceding at home."

One player who will not be in Harrison's squad is club captain Jason Ramshaw. He has re-turned from a month with family in Western Australia, but will have to play his way back into the team.

Harrison said: "Jason will have to prove his fitness. Steve Pickles had the hooker's jersey on Sunday and had a great game."

Keighley Albion have provisionally arranged their second round Silk Cut Challenge Cup tie against Stanley Rangers for Monday at Cougar Park (1.30). The match was frozen off there last night.
