OTLEY Sailing Club's trophy first race of the millennium, the Hangover Trophy, was won by Norman Stephens after some very close racing on a bright, sunny New Year's Day. The solos dominated the first race but the lasers came through when the wind picked up for the second race.
Overall results were: 1, Norman Stephens (solo) 3 points; 2, Chris Moran (solo) 7; 3, David Hinks (solo) 8.
Race One - 1, Norman Stephens (Solo); 2, Sally Moore (Byte); 3, Chris Moran (Solo).
Race Two - 1, John Simms (Laser); 2, Norman Stephens (Solo); 3, Martin Moore (Laser).
