Bradford Bulls are reporting an excellent take-up for tickets to Sunday's West Yorkshire Challenge Cup derby at Wakefield Trinity Wildcats.

Chairman Chris Caisley was bitterly disappointed with the turn-out of only 6,500 for the fourth round clash with Huddersfield-Sheffield Giants at Odsal in front of the BBC television cameras a fortnight ago.

But with Sunday's clash at Belle Vue not being televised officials from both clubs are expecting a bumper crowd.

Bulls spokesman Stuart Duffy said: "There has been a steady flow of sales since they went on general sale on Monday and we are delighted so far.

"It's a crucial game for the club, and obviously a big following would be a boost for the players in their bid to reach Murrayfield. Lots of fans will still pay at the turnstiles and we are hopeful of a travelling support of around 5,000."

Tickets are available from Odsal until 8.30pm tomorrow, during normal office hours on Friday and until noon on Saturday.

The Alliance side are in action in a warm-up game at Dewsbury tomorrow (7.30) when some of the first team squad are expected to be on show.

Matthew Elliott has still to finalise his side for Sunday but full back Stuart Spruce and centre Justin Brooker are both in contention.
