MAKE no mistake about it the win at Widnes was a cracking result, we didn't play as well as we could but it was good enough on the day.

There is now real belief in our ability welling up in the team and there are a few 'winners' in the squad - like Alan Boothroyd and Dean Hanger - who are key components in our success.

We must continue to grind out the results. No team can play great football every week, but winning is the important thing.

At the beginning of the season our priority was a top eight place and anything above that would be a bonus. That is still the case and we are not getting carried away with our recent success. There's plenty of football to be played and I still believe that the clubs with the bigger squads will be there at the end of the season -- when it matters.

ON the injury front, Craig Horne pulled a hamstring in the first 10 minutes of last week's game. At this stage I'm not too sure how long he will be out, but it's lucky we have some good cover in this position.

Steve Pickles has a sore neck, but I'm sure he'll be okay and Jason Lee got some 'claret' on his shirt - which is unusual for a winger - after breaking his nose. He's fine and should be fit for Sunday.

Graeme Hallas now looks fit and will come into my selection equations.

I am still waiting for a report on the brawl, if you can call it that. I've looked at the video and there isn't much for us to worry about.

Mick Slicker - remember him - has returned from honeymoon and was back in training this week. he'll be another player vying for a place very soon.

BARROW is another tough game, they seem to be coming thick and fast, and they are just behind us in the table.

Make no mistake they will be no pushovers and we will have to be at out best to win. There are no easy games in the Northern Ford and I believe it is the most competitive division for years. Shock results will occur from time to time, just look at Sheffield beating Leigh and Dewsbury only drawing with Swinton.

SUNDAY is the club's Centenary and it's great that everyone in the town is getting behind the celebrations, and the boys deserve a big turn-out to cheer them on to another win.

See you Sunday!
