Residents throughout the Shipley district will have a chance to voice their views on local issues when the summer season of neighbourhood forums gets under way.

Organised by Bradford Council's Shipley Community Area Panel the series of 15 forums starts on Tuesday and covers an area stretching from Bolton Woods to Burley-in-Wharfedale.

Area panel chairman Councillor Tony Miller said: "The more people that attend Neighbourhood Forums the stronger they will be.''

The latest round opens at Denholme Mechanics Institute on Tuesday with villagers in Cullingworth getting their turn the following evening.

The Upper Baildon and Tong Park forum will be held on Thursday with Menston and Windhill meetings staged on June 6 and 7 respectively.

June 13 sees forums at both Bolton Woods and Lower Baildon with Bingley and Burley-in-Wharfedale residents invited to meetings on June 14 and 15 respectively.

Two forums will be held in Frizinghall - an evening one on June 20 and a morning one on June 22 - while Saltaire and Hirst Wood issues will come under the spotlight on June 22.

The Wrose forum is on June 28 with the Shipley and Nab Wood meeting held the following evening and Wilsden rounding affairs off on July 5.
