BROTHERS Ross and Dale Towler worked together as Keighley's opening strike partnership as they beat Morley be four wickets last weekend.

After the visitors' openers Gaunt and Hyde built and opening partnership of 50 the brothers struck with Dale capturing the wicket of Gaunt and Ross towler capturing the valuable wicket of Hyde.

Steve Reape also bowled well, taking 2-28 in his eight over spell.

The bowlers were backed up by the tight fielding from the rest of the team as they were forced to work hard on a good wicket. Two run-outs late in the innings were a further blow to the Morley side as they were dismissed for 145.

Keighley were also made to work hard with the bat with Australian Justin Ferguson showinghis calss with a knock of 68 not out to seat his side home.

This weekend they take on Spen Victoria away.

n Keighley 2nds kept up their winning run in the league with a comfortable victory at Morley.

Morley were put into bat and produced a good platform, reaching 91 before the first wicket fell and a big score looked on the cards. But the expected acceleration never materialised as Alex Towler and Andy Smith restricted the runs picking up wickets at regular intervals after the opening partnership was broken. Towler claimed five wickets in a marathon spell and Smith with four wickets as Morley were dimissed for 130 in 49 overs.

Keighley started well with Andy Benson and Nasser Kamal taking the attack to Morley. Kamal fell two short of a well deserved fifty but Allan Birkett and Craig Ratcliffe saw Keighley home with 20 overs remaining and with only four wickets down.

After dropping only two points so far this season Keighley are in confident mood to defeat Spen Victoria at home tomorrow.
