Oxenhope took the Craven Football League's Northern Plant Hire Challenge Trophy with a 2-0 victory over Embsay.

Both teams played good football with Embsay first onto the attack but they wasted some good chances and Oxenhope returned the pressure with quick football from defence to attack.

Embsay keeper Chris beck pulled off a couple of good saves and defences were winning the day before Paul Sewell scored the opener for Oxenhope.

Embsay pressed for an equaliser following the re-start but Oxenhope's defence stood firm. Midway through the half Oxenhope put their hands firmly onthe trophy when Stephen Pearson slotted their second. The Worth Valley side held out against extreme pressure late in the game, with Steve Pearson taking the man of the match award.
