Thornton and Harden are up with the leading pack in the early stages of the league campaign.

Andy Hutchinson led the way for Thornton with 53 as they raced to 233-6. Buttershaw fell 66 runs short as Thornton clocked up their second win of the campaign.

Harden bounced back from last week's defeat by Clayton, bowling out Laisterdyke for 160. Andy Moulds was in the thick of the batting action, scoring 88 and was backed up by John Roper (40) and Anthony Bairstow (36no) as their side secured a nine-wicket win.

David Spragg scored 74 for Crossflatts as they rattled up a total of 190-7 and was backed up by Andy Patrick (20) and solid middle order contributions from Brooksbank (17), Williamson (19), Mick Tinkler (10) and Roy Durn (10).

Oxenhope lost two early wickets before Steve Jackson (35) and Lee Humphries (83 not out) steadied the ship, but they fell behind the required run rate and had to settle for 1 point from a 'losing draw' as they batted out the overs reaching 165-5.

Shelf set Cullingworth a target of 200-5 with opener Andy Dimbley scoring 83. Cullingworth batsmen turned in some promising performances, but wickets fell at regular intervals and denied them the match-winning partnership they were looking for.

Powis top scored with 31, but a six-wicket haul from Pearson saw the side dismissed for 135.

Riddlesden stormed to victory in their Second Division clash with Westwood. Awesome bowling spells from Greenwood, Hawkes and Merryfield saw them take three wickets each as they restricted the Westwood side to 142.

Opener Gordon Henson dominated the Westwood bowling before Hawkes (24no) and Brett (48no) demolished what was left of the attack to secure victory.

Ingrow fell just 15 runs short as they chased at target of 185-4 set by Wibsey Park Chapel. Opener Gould had scored 85 for the visitors with Riley 60 not out before the Ingrow side took up the challenge.

Peter Sharpe scored 25 and Adrian Parker (81) continued to push up the total. While the early batsmen were still at the wicket the Keighley side looked to be in with a chance of victory, but the lower order batsmen collapsed, leaving the last pair to hold out for a point.

Ingrow 2nds found the going touch as they were bowled out for 67 by Wibsey Park chapel. With such a low total to defend they were soon in trouble, going down to a nine wicket defeat.
