Guiseley cricketer Nick Murden hit a glorious century for Tong Park as they cruised to 318-5 against Otley on Saturday. Openers Brendan Ryan and Andrew Thin shared a first wicket stand of 80 before Thin was caught for 40 by Moir off Paul Machell.

Ryan went on to make 78 and he shared a second wicket stand of 73 with Murden who made 102 as the Otley bowlers were put to the sword.

Otley replied with 154-4 to draw with opener Chris Smith steadying things with a knock of 51 and young James Davies making 27 no.

In a run feast at Guiseley North Leeds batsman Tim Hales hammeerd a superb unbeaten 122 not out which included 10 fours and 6 sixes.

Guiseley must have felt fairly sure of getting the best of the game when they posted a score of 256-7. Leading the way were Craig Chaplin with 55, Mark Ross with 54 and Barry McCormick with 41.

The Guiseley bowlers however could not contain Hales and with excellent support from David McDonald, who hit 76, victory was assured.

McDonald's knock included 14 fours and 1 six. This was despoite the efforts of Marcus Brown who took 4-91.

A seven wicket return from Steve Lawrence failed to halt champions Steeton who gained a winning draw at Bilton. Steeton made 174 with Alec Howarth making 49 and Mike Wilson 50.

Bilton replied with 141-7 to draw with Miles Corish making 46.

Bruce Percy was on his best form when Rawdon visited Burley. He hammered 101 as Rawdon totalled 242-4. He had excellent support from Jamie Davey (48 no) and David Whittaker (31).

As Burley replied with 128-8 Ian Normington made 30 but his colleagues struggled against Rawdon's signing from Hall Park Kenrick Marshall who took 5-31.

Brett Crabtree hit 58 as Knaresborough made 141-4 against Silsden who were shot out for 57 in reply. Doing the damage were Mal Brittain with 4-21 and Mike Baxendall with 3-19.

Follifoot gained a six wickets win over Adel who had been restricted to 110-9 by David Nudds (3-25) and Glen Sullivan (3-34). Opener Paul Miller, the former Baildon man, stroked an unbeaten 60 off 75 balls as Adel's score was overhauled in 25.1 overs.

Beckwithshaw failed to match the 121-8 of Skipton being restricted to 103-8 as Mick Scott took 4-28.

Division B

Collingham gained four points from a drawn game with Calverley after making 169 all out. J Woodward top scored with 40 and S Booth took 3-44 opff 21 overs.

Addingham were dismissed for 93 as Illingworth's D Priestley took 4-40 and R Dixon 5-16 off 11 overs. Opener Steve May top scored with 36. Illingworth knocked off the runs for the loss of four wickets.

Green Lane gained a seven wickets win over Hall Park who were restricted to 164-9 as Tony Pickersgill took 4-31 off 17 overs. Lane then knocked off the runs with S Willis making an unbeaten 55 and Garfield Williams an unbeaten 46.

Ilkley's Chris Quaife hit 66 as Ilkley totalled 247-6 to gain five points from a drawn game with Horsforth. He shared a third wicket stand of 126 with P Moffat who made 61.

Horsforth replied with 155-5 with Nick Gonsalkorale making an undefeated 77.

Division C

In Division C Olicanians gained four points from a drawn game with Colton.

They made a fine 230-4 with Peter Blackwell leading the way with 50 and useful contributions from Tony Shirley (42), N Freeman (36 no) and P Wagstaff (37 no). Colton made 188-7 in reply with 44 from D Gawtry. Adrian Cowgill took 3-70 off 18 overs for the Ilkley side.

Upper Wharfedale were dismissed for 40 as Kirkstall Educationals' A Barbour struck home with a 6-10 return. Kirkstall had made 154-8 with opener D Wonfor hitting 55.

Woodhouse took all six points as they knocked off Thackley's 109 with six wickets in hand. Stuart Dobson did the damage with a 6-41 return off 12.4 overs.
