COUGARS are set see huge 'Fans Convoy' leave town on Sunday for the club's Northern Ford Premiership semi-final clash with Dewsbury on Sunday.

After being robbed of the right of a home tie in the match, despite winning their opening round match - while the Rams lost - fans are set to turn the Ram Stadium into 'Cougar Park MkII' with a massive invasion from the Cougar Army.

Last week Featherstone fans outnumbered the Dewsbury home supporters and Keighley, who have the largest travelling support in the game are set to swamp the ground.

"It really gives players a boost to see your own fans packing a stadium and I know our fans will make a huge impression," said Cougar coach Karl Harrison.

The match is kicking off at 1.30pm so that Yorkshire TV can arrange full coverage of the game together with coverage of the Leigh Centurians v Oldham match at 5pm. Both games will be shown on their Thursday night programme 'Rugby League Raw.'

This week Karl Harrison lodged a formal complaint about TV crews in the team dressing room at half time. When the plan for coaches to be wired for sound were first announced he was clearly concerned.

Now he has reached a 'compromise' deal. "It is essential that the players remain focused and are not distracted by the intrusion of cameras," he said.

But he has a complete squad to pick from for Sunday's game and has been working on fitness and mental preparation before the big match.

"The players will be mentally focused and ready for the match," said.

n Karl Harrison's assistant coach, Steve Deakin is set to leave the club at the end of the current campaign after being appointed senior coach at Rochdale Hornets. He has played a major part in this season's success, but after years as a 'right hand man' he has decided the time is right to take the hot seat himself.

He was No2 to John Kear at when Sheffield won the Challenge Cup in 1998 and has also been assistant coach at Halifax and Oldham before joining Harrison's staff at keighley. He takes over at Rochdale from Australian Steve Linnane who has joined the staff at Halifax.

n Matt Foster is to have an operation on his ankle next week in a bid to get back to full fitness.

"It has been troubling me all season, and hopefully I will get back to fitness for the start of next season." he said.
