High-flying company boss Jo Pagdin was captured on film as she completed a 10,000ft tandem parachute jump for charity.

Jo - managing director of Keighley's Rotherwood Recruitment agency - made the sponsored leap on Sunday at the North-West Parachute Club, Grange-over-Sands.

She hopes her effort will raise around £500 for cancer causes.

Jo, 29, from Haworth, told us: "This is something I have always wanted to do.

"It was an absolutely brilliant once-in-a-lifetime experience.

"I was not scared at all and had bird's-eye views of the Isle of Man, Blackpool Tower and yachts on Lake Windermere.

"I would recommend it to anyone for the experience alone, as well as to those looking to raise monies for their favourite charity.

"People I know have suffered from cancer and I wanted to do something to help combat the disease."

The parachute leap is the latest in a series of aeronautic challenges for Jo - pictured right. She also has a passion for paragliding and is training for her pilot's licence.

She joined Rotherwood as commercial consultant in July 1998 and was appointed managing director in April this year, taking on additional responsibility for the day-to-day running of the business which now has an annual turnover exceeding £2 million.

Her father Dennis is founder and chairman of Rotherwood.
