Bradford City's overseas signings Benito Carbone and Dan Petrescu are having a huge influence on the rest of the City squad.
Among the beneficiaries is Dean Windass, whose instant rapport with Carbone was obvious in City's 2-0 win over Chelsea at Valley Parade on Tuesday as he scored the first goal and laid on the second for the Italian striker.
But it is away from the spotlight that Carbone and Petrescu are having their main influence on the City squad. Contradicting some national perspectives on Carbone, Windass has nothing but good to say about his new striking partner.
He said: "Benito is great to play with - in matches as well as in training.
"We have got a good relationship on and off the field.
It works well when you have that sort of relationship.
"We are on the same wavelength - he has been brilliant.
"He just wants to be wanted in Bradford, just as we want him here. He has shown he is not going to let anyone down.
"Benito and Dan are teaching us all good habits.
"Dan is a great professional. Watching him in action every day brings you on, not just on the field, but off the field as well. He tells you what to do, what to eat and what to drink. All this has helped me a lot.
"We are not going to get carried away by beating Chelsea, but I thought we played really well. Benito and I scored the goals, but it wasn't just us two who did the business - it was the whole team.
"If you bring in good players to the club, you improve yourself. That is what is happening at Valley Parade.
"Everyone is working very hard for each other."
