THE latest 'Hall of Fame' display is set to be unveiled at Keighley Cougars next Friday -- when it is time to celebrate the club's fans.

"There are displays recognising players from every era, and we thought it was time to acknowledge the contribution of the loyal fans who really make this club what it is," said Mike Ford, hall of Fame organiser.

A total of 14 of the club's great players have been remembered in the clubhouse, which has been re-named the Hall of Fame Bar.

The new display includes an historic photograph of 'Mill Girls' setting off to watch the Challenge Cup semi-final as the Keighley Club made their way to Wembley in the 1937 season. There is also a photograph from the current year -- the club's centenary season.

There have also been additions to the Hall of Fame Showcase including Fred Talbot's 1937 Cup Final shirt and medal, Jason Ramshaw's 3rd Division Championship shirt from 1993 and a rare 1955 programme of Keighley v New Zealand which was donated by the late Royce Foster.

The quest to find the Keighley 'Team of Century' is also continuing with the latest 'match' taking place between the 1955 team which drew with New Zealand up against the 1963 team which won promotion from Division Two.

The 50's team boasted a line-up which included the three-quarter line-up of Hollindrake, Hallas, Redman and Smith, while the 60's team called on a number of Lawkholme Legends including Garfield Owen, Roy Sabine, Albert Eyre and Geoff Crewdson.

Witnesses for both team give the evidence in a court room-style battle before fans get the chance to vote for the team which will go through to the next round. In the last round the 1993 Third Division champions beat the 1951 Yorkshire Cup final side by a narrow margin.
