Back-rower David Boyle has no intention of bowing out of British rugby league at the JJB Stadium tomorrow night.

The 29-year-old confirmed today that he is leaving the Bulls at the end of his two-year contract but is determined that the curtain will come down instead at Old Trafford a week later and with a Grand Final winner's ring on his finger.

"It would be a great way to finish what has been a really enjoyable stay," said Boyle who is uncertain whether he will continue his rugby career Down Under.

"Murrayfield was obviously the highlight for me but I'm sure if we can make the final and pull it off this time it would match that experience.

"I had one of my best matches of the season that day and the noise of our fans was tremendous. To be honest, the whole day was a bit of a blur but it will be great to look back on the video in a few years and realise the achievement."

Wigan hold the advantage so far this term with two wins and a draw from their meetings with the Bulls but Boyle senses the mood is right to make amends.

Boyle said: "The boys are really confident about this one and are really looking forward to the game.

"People might think the news about Matthew Elliott leaving and Brian Noble taking over might have had an unsettling effect but there really have been no dramas and it's been business as usual.

"As a group we have a real chance to finish on a high and there is a great determination around the place."

Boyle admits he has not hit the heights of his first season with the club but after injury setbacks says he is feeling back to full fitness again.

"I had a few niggling injuries early on and then my knee was bad for over two months," he said. "It was difficult to run with confidence when I was worrying that I might break down again but it's feeling as good as ever again now.

"I really want to finish off well because I've been incredibly lucky to come to Bradford. I didn't know that much about them because in Australia all you ever heard about was Wigan. But the Bulls are a great club with fantastic fans and it couldn't have worked out better.

"My wife is expecting our third child very soon and has already gone back to Australia so it's the right time to finish here, but it's been a really enjoyable couple of years and hopefully there's still more to come."
