Car stereos worth an estimated £4,000 were stolen from a Keighley business over the weekend. Thieves broke into A G Autopoint, in Worth Way, and took car stereos and CD players of various makes, including Kenwood, Sony, Maystar, JVC and Alpine.
The break in is believed to have taken place on Sunday evening or the early hours of Monday.
Andrew Mallinson, one of the partners in the business, says: "We are a bit gutted but it could have been a lot, lot worse. Our alarm, which is linked to the police, didn't pick them up either and the company that operates the system is now looking into that.
"There seems to be a spate of attacks on businesses in this area and when we are trying to attract more business to Keighley it doesn't show the town in a good light."
Mr Mallinson says two youths were seen trying to kick in the door of the premises at around 8pm on Sunday evening. They ran off when spotted by the witness.
