An annual charity bonfire and firework display has been axed for the first time in 35 years, hit by the flooding.
Bingley Round Table's popular event was due to be staged on Saturday night but has had to be scrapped because the ground at Bingley's Myrtle Park is still heavily waterlogged.
The event usually attracts about 10,000 revellers and raises thousands of pounds for local charities, money the organisers say will now have to be raised in other ways.
And they also fear they may be left with a £6,000 bill for fireworks.
Round Table secretary, Barry Shinn, said: "Anyone who's bought tickets can get their money back at the shops where they got them although if they're feeling generous they could leave the £3 with us.''
