From the Telegraph & Argus of November 27, 1975...Workers at Hepworth and Grandage factories in Bradford have raised £800 for a kidney machine for Bradford. The workers, who have been collecting for two years, have already raised £1,200 for kidney research.
From the Telegraph & Argus of November 27, 1950...Mr Maurice Webb, the Minister for Food, heard Bradford folk enjoy home baking. At a meeting held by the Bradford Central Division Labour Party a woman asked: "Would it be possible to have a little more lard? We like to bake, you know, and we miss it." He replied: "In the north - unlike the south there is a very strong demand for more facilities for home baking".
