Bradford-based home shopping firm Redcats UK has looked across the Atlantic for its latest appointment.

American Marsha Greene-Jones has moved from the Boston division of sister company the Brylane Organisation to become Redcats' new Director of Human Resources.

Ms Greene-Jones, who was responsible for a 3,000-strong workforce in the States, will replace Bill Campbell, who retired last month after 29 years with the business.

A veteran of the human resources world with more than 20 years' experience, she said: "There is a wonderful sense of camaraderie here and I am looking forward to working for such a progressive company.

"A recent staff survey achieved an 80 per cent response rate, which is very high and demonstrates that people are willing to contribute their views and that these views are listened to and acted upon."

Redcats UK employs more than 2,800 people at its head office in Bradford and its distribution and call centre operations in Wakefield.

Commenting on the new appointment, managing director Andy Hill said: "This is our first transfer from our sister company in the US to the UK and demonstrates our commitment to mobility and people development.

"Marsha brings her tremendous drive and energy as well as a recognised capability in human resources. I am confident that her approach and skills will contribute to Redcats' success in the UK."

The company is one of Britain's top five home shopping outfits, with around 1.5 million customers.
