Ukrainian 'A' jumped above their 'B' team with a comfortable 7-3 win at Lothersdale 'B' in the First Division of the Keighley & District Table Tennis League,.

John Lister was on top form with an immaculate treble that included a 21-14, 23-21 defeat of Edgar Klava. Peter Holbrook followed his team mates example with another maximum, along the way beating David Galley 21-13, 21-16. In reply for the home team, Peter Midgley, Galley and Klava all got the better of Jerry Harkaway, although he came close against Midgley, only just slipping to defeat 16-21, 21-17, 21-18.

In Division Two, John MacPherson, playing his final game for The Bhoys before moving to Redruth in Cornwall, saved his best for last against Terriers 'B' with a superb treble that included a magnificent 12-21, 21-13, 21-12 defeat of Paul Lister before getting the better of Steve Wands 7-21, 21-13, 21-7. Wands and Lister hit back for Terriers with a couple each and Ronnie Farrar's 21-10, 21-13 win against Dennis Foulds ensured a share of the spoils for the hospital team.

In the Third Division, Ilkley Road 'C' and Oakbank 'B' shared the points in a thrilling encounter. Trailing 5-1 following good play from the Oakbank youngsters that saw Rorie Roberts beat Mark Waterhouse 21-13, 11-21, 21-13 and Alec Pue hammer Chris Gill 21-8, 21-8, the visitors hit back hard to level in the doubles as Mark and Graeme Waterhouse teamed up to beat Roberts and Pue 17-21, 21-15, 21-12 following excellent wins for Graeme Waterhouse, 10-21, 22-20, 21-15 against Pue and a 21-6, 12-21, 21-17 Gill defeat of Rorie Roberts.

At the top, Wilsden managed a stirring 7-3 win at Old Skiptonians to stretch their lead to eleven points over nearest rivals Ilkley Road 'C'. Adam and Luke Broadbent and David Berry all scored two each, although Berry was pushed hard by the improving John Romano, eventually winning 21-19, 14-21, 21-14. Once again it was the excellent Richard Crookes who stretched his impressive run to 20 victories from 21 starts who earned Skiptonians all their points.

Terriers 'D' and St Wilf's fought out a much closer league match than last week's Naylor Cup encounter, yet the final outcome was the same as Terrier's Ken and Andy Feather snatched victory in the doubles 21-15, 21-19 against John Mitchell and William Lister to leave the final score 6-4 in favour of their team. Earlier John Mitchell had earned good wins for St Wilf's against Ken Feather (22-20, 21-15) and Richard Johnson (21-8, 21-10) and Andy Feather delivered a maximum for Terriers.
