YEW TREE...........6
YEW Tree travelled to Queensway at Guiseley to take on league newcomers Park Row Associates.
After a rather shaky start Yew Tree played some good football and controlled the game on a diabolical surface.
They ran out comfortable winners with goals from, Ben Kelly (2), Stuart Thompson, Richard Sharp and Anthony Cocker.
On Saturday Yew Tree will entertain Harrogate Unison and this will bring together the partnership of two of the area's better central defenders in Graham Pollard and Richard Field.
Praise must be given to manager Simon Malpass who has kept morale at a high level despite the fact that he has had up to six players missing from his first choice team in every game this season.
His main worry for the New Year is Stuart Thompson who is in the best form of his career. If he maintains this level of form it will not be long before bigger club's come seeking him.
All the players and management wish a speedy recovery to long term injury victims Mark Healeas and Scott Richmond.
