Investors with Skipton Building Society will enjoy market-leading returns this year.
Loyalty TESSA account customers who invested £9,000 in 1996 are set to enjoy a maturity balance of £12,638.87 - along with an additional Interest Credit of £468.93.
Skipton BS takes the top two positions in a 'highest returns' table of providers in a recent survey by Money£acts.
The society's head of corporate communications, Mark Smitheringale, said: "At the Skipton we have a different approach to business than any of the more traditional building societies and have pioneered a new era we refer to as 'modern mutuality'."
